Piperdam Golf Course (est. 1998)
Yards: 6471 Holes: 18 Par: 72
Piperdam golf course is a pleasant parkland course with views across to the Grampian hills and south as far as St Andrews Bay. From the 6th tee, the highest point on the course, you can see down the River Tay.
The front nine is a gradual pull up the course to the 6th. After this it is easy walking. Perhaps the toughest hole on this half is the 1st across the corner of a loch, a par three of only 120 yards but a knee-trembler if you don't like water. All the par threes on the Piperdam golf course are testing.
The back nine opens with a trio of trials that will really test your golfing skills. The 10th, with its sloping fairway and water all along the right, is a difficult par five, with the 11th an equally tight par three with 180 yards carry over water.
With its dynamic scenery and gently undulating greens, Piperdam golf course has a huge amount of aesthetic charm that can mask its cunningly designed traps and pitfalls from the unwary golfer. A worthwhile destination if you're planning a golf break in Dundee or the surrounding area, Piperdam golf course is a real treat.
