Celebrations Continue for Royal Montrose Golf Club Bicentenary with Dinner and Dancing

| Royal Montrose Golf Club’s Week of Celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of the club reached another highpoint on Wednesday, 1 September, when Club members and invited guests, including 100 golfers from across the globe, donned their finery for a formal ball in the Town Hall. The Bicentenary Ball, sponsored by Mike Fraser, Astute and Glenmorangie, was a great success and provided a wonderful opportunity for the 100 international golfers attending the Week of Celebration to experience a traditional Scottish night out, with toe-tapping music, highly-enjoyable dancing and delicious food. The Week of Celebration’s key sponsor is GlaxoSmithKline, while the year-long programme of bicentenary celebrations is supported by Angus Council through Carnoustie Country, which promotes the golf courses in and around Angus.
