Carnoustie Buddon Golf Course (est. 1981)

Yards: 5921 Holes: 18 Par: 68

Carnoustie Buddon links, established in 1981, is a scenic course, with its greatly improved design and condition over recent years make it a fine and most enjoyable test for any player.

With the introduction of 2 new holes in 2014, the quality of the course increased significantly and locals now refer to the new Amen Corner at holes 11 and 12 where golfers are tested to the max.

Whilst there are links elements on the Buddon course, there are other features such as a heathland stretch at the 6th where heather and silver birch trees are more reminiscent of a Highland golf course. This is a tight, slight dogleg and a pleasure to play well. The Buddon golf course is a worthy and worthwhile test of any player's golf skills.

Pro Tips

The course closest to the sea the Buddon is firmly established as a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. The improvements in 2014 have brought the length and par to the same as the Burnside Course and arguably created a better course than the Burnside. Well worth including in any trip to Carnoustie Country.
