The golf courses of Angus will have a definite tinge of emerald green this week - thanks to a party of almost 100 Irish golfers who are visiting Carnoustie Country!
The golfers are all members of The Monks Society, a golfing society based in Thurless in County Tipperary, Southern Ireland. "We decided to come to Carnoustie Country this summer before the 2007 Open was held at Carnoustie," explained Toby Cullen, who organised the trip. "So, when Padraig Harrington won the 2007 Open, we were even keener to play golf in Carnoustie Country – especially on the course of his victory."
