Carnoustie Buddon

Carnoustie Buddon Links is a beautiful links course that combines traditional links features with elements of heathland, such as heather and silver birch trees that are more commonly found on equally as beautiful Highland courses.

The newest of the three courses at Carnoustie, the Buddon Links was originally designed by Peter Alliss and the late Dave Thomas. It was opened in 1979 but has seen many changes since then, including a $1 million investment to create two new holes, bringing the course up to a very testing par 68. The greatly improved design and condition of the course has prompted locals to refer to holes 11 and 12 as the new ‘Amen Corner’ – where golfers are tested to the max!

Par: 68
Yards: 5921

Pro Tips:

The course closest to the sea, the Buddon Links course is firmly established as a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. The improvements in 2014 have brought the length and par in line with the Burnside course and as a result has greatly enhanced the layout. Well worth including in any trip to Carnoustie Country.
