Letham Grange - Old Course

Officially opened in 1987 by Sir Henry Cotton, the Old Course at Letham Grange is a 6,632 yard par 73, Championship layout.  A parkland course incorporating both tree-lined and open fairways. It features memorable water hazards on the 8th and 10th holes. Every hole is unique, presenting a variety of challenges to every level of golfer. The blue tiger-tees add another 336 yards to the length making it a fantastic championship course.

The course is artistically laid out whilst retaining a classic, rugged Scottish appeal. The 8th marks the beginning of the most attractive section of the course; a testing par three over an ornamental lake. The Old Course combines character and charm with a true test of golf, making it well worthy of a visit if you’re planning a golfing trip to Carnoustie Country.

Pro Tips:

The many dog-leg holes on Letham Grange Old Course ensure that position off the tee is the basis to a good round. Consideration should also be given to dropping down to a 3-wood or an iron to avoid the dangers of the tree-lined fairways. This well-crafted golf course will give your golfing skills a thorough workout and is a fine example of Scotland’s fine tradition of inland layouts.
