As aesthetically pleasing as it is challenging, Lynedoch golf course provides an immensely rewarding round of golf. Set within a mature woodland, its narrow fairways, water hazards, bracken-filled gullies and generous, undulating greens are an ideal combination of a visual treat and a sporting challenge.
Running through Scots Pine woodland and wildflower meadows, the undulating fairways can be distractingly handsome. Add in the grandeur of the Grampian mountains as a backdrop, and you can see why so many include Lynedoch in a golf break or golfing holiday around Scotland.
Although Lynedoch is a shorter test, it is no less challenging with tighter fairways, bracken-filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrowing the golfer’s view. Water hazards also provide ample protection and will catch any errant golf balls. Combining a round on the Lynedoch with a visit to the Murrayshall course is truly a day of superb golf.
