Carnoustie Buddon

Carnoustie Buddon links is a scenic course featuring stunning links elements combined with other features such as a heathland stretch at the 6th where heather and silver birch trees are more reminiscent of a Highland golf course.

The newest of the three courses at Carnoustie, the Buddon links was originally designed by Peter Alliss and the late Dave Thomas. It was opened in 1979 but has seen many changes since then including a $1m investment to create two new holes bringing the course up to a very testing par 68.

The greatly improved design and condition of the course has prompted locals to refer to the holes 11 and 12 as the new Amen Corner where golfers are tested to the max.

The course closest to the sea, the Buddon is firmly established as a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. The improvements in 2014 have brought the length and par in line with the Burnside Course and as a result has greatly enhanced the layout. Well worth including in any trip to Carnoustie Country.
